In case you don't know, today is July 4th, America's birthday! For myself I'll be located in the hectic Coney Island all day long! I'll be posting my adventure on Instagram (reh487). I hope everyone has a lovely holiday and eats plenty of hotdogs and/or hamburgers!
From last July 4th! Such fun and excitement!
Now that I've got your attention in a ridiculous title (I apologize!), it's time to explain it.

Well my focus hasn't been on reading in a long time. As you can tell from this blog and my Goodreads account. It's been re-shifted to another focus that was always a hobby: Makeup. Not just any, Special FX! If anyone watches "FaceOff" from SyFy, then you get SFX in what I'm saying. I'm truly a horror enthusiast that even though I don't look it, I bleed gore and guts.

Now I'm not disappearing from this blog forever, but I'm changing the way it is with not just book blogging. I'm looking to also share my passion, the thing that I finally found that makes me beyond happy and want to do everyday of my life if I could: SFX. This means you'll see every now and then a post dedicated to the it. But book posts will always trump SFX.

Anyway... I still love to read and still love to blog, so I still love book blogging. On another note, the 16th of this month (Wednesday), is my 27th birthday!

To end this post, I'm hoping all my Jewish readers are having or had an amazing Passover and my non-Jewish readers have a wonderful Easter! Keep reading everyone!
A weekly meme originally hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine, spotlighting a soon-to-be-released book(s) that I'm very much anticipating to read.
Title: Minders
Author: Michele Jaffe
Publisher: Razorbill
Release Date: January 30th, 2014
A high concept, cinematic read with a surprising twist, MINDERS asks the question: who is really watching whom?

Sadie Ames is a type-A teenager from the wealthy suburbs. She's been accepted to the prestigious Mind Corps Fellowship program, where she'll spend six weeks as an observer inside the head of Ford, a troubled boy with a passion for the crumbling architecture of the inner city. There's just one problem: Sadie's fallen in love with him. Back in her own body, Sadie is faced with the ultimate dilemma. With Ford's life in her hands, she must decide what is right and what is wrong. And how well she can really ever know someone, even someone she loves. - Goodreads
My reason for wanting to read this book is this: great concept! I love out of the box thinking stories with what if's and science fiction mixed in. The love story is just a bonus. It seems slightly stalker'ish to some, unless you've read/watch something that involved a person going into another's mind/head, then it's not so creepy.

Overall, I'm tinkling this will be interesting to read. I'm excited to get my hands on this novel when it comes out!
So as 2013 came to a close, it occurred to me that I only had 10 pots for the entire year. TEN POSTS!? Jeesh! haha

Well my life kind of got in the way BIG time. From working at Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses as a makeup artist/actor in the fall (inventory/costumes in the summer!), car troubles, deaths in the family and my boyfriends, dealing with a house, moving out of my parents, and much more... it has been a non-stop roller coaster.

This also led to barely reading any books, let alone when I did I didn't finish any but one really.

Now I'm vowing to change for 2014. More reviews, more posts about books turned movies, and anything else really cool related to favorite book series!

I'm feeling 2014 will be a better year... and I rarely use Twitter anymore. It just has an automated posting everyday. But if you want to keep in touch with me, find me on Instagram! I'm practically on there everyday.

Anyway, enough about myself, I want to know how your 2013 ended and how the transition into 2014 is so far! Comment below and I'll comment back as soon as I can!
