Penguin Presents: Authors Stand Up for Free Speech (video)

All these authors talk about how books are positive for young readers, how they expand the mind and give them something they need in this world. By censoring this exact thing, it could hurt them and everyone else that reads young adult literature.

This is why NDAA/SOPA/IP bill needs to never become a real law! Our voice is important and our imagination when reading is too. Don't let it be silenced. Stand up, fight back, and help keep free speech alive!

Ever wish you could be a character in a book?

Now you can! Becca Fitzpatrick, Kiersten White, Janette Rallison, Brandon Mull, Shannon Hale, and Robin Brande are coming together on eBay to help "Kids Need to Read". There they are auctioning off a chance for you, a real person, to have their real name as a character in their upcoming novel(s)! It could be a minor character, a villain, even someone who could *gasp!* die at some point in their books. But this auction won't last forever!
