I'm not really 100% a book reviewer full time. I'm also a college student, so my schedule does permit me to not always be on top of books as much as I would like to be. This includes when I do finish reading a book and the time frame to which a review will be available to be posted on the page.

My reviews are my personal honest opinions. Everything I post is true and how I felt when I was finished reading. Every book that I receive, buy, or won is guarantee a review, whether positive or negative, it will not change once it is posted here.

I also read for pleasure. So with some books I do take my time to read, because I love absorbing in everything it has to offer. I never rush/speed read anything involving books unless it is required for class and I need to review, quickly.

ARC's are accepted, but I prefer hard copies due to health reasons with acquiring headaches from looking at a computer screen too long. *12/30/11 Update: I have recently received a NOOK Simple Touch this past holiday season, so I'm allowing ARC eBooks now. Just make sure that they are in ePub format only or viewable on Adobe Digital Editions, which can then be transfered over to my eReader to be read.*

I gladly accept ARCs from NetGalley!

These are the following category of book genres I read:
  • Young Adult (i.e. - Shatter Me, Matched, The Secret Circle, Harry Potter, Twilight, The Mortal Instruments, etc...)
  • Contemporary Lit (i.e. - Something Borrowed, I Don't Know How She Does It, Wicked, Dear John, The Notebook, etc...)
  • Historical Fiction (i.e. - The Help, Water for Elephants, Pride Prejudice and Zombies, etc...)

I will NOT accept books in the following:
  • Nonfiction (no biographies, autobiographies, or memoirs. Unless I specifically want to read it, don't ask me to review it)
  • Any book with a religious undertone in the title or the story itself (if your book is mostly about "god" or anything in that sense, please don't ask me to review your book. I'm not religious, so don't try and change my mind)
  • No children's books below the age level of 11 for reading (if I get them I won't review them, I'll give them to my friends who have kids instead, but they will never get reviewed)
  • Romance Novels (no novellas or soap opera styled stories, I cringe at those and kind of poke fun at them because I find them to be very unrealistic)
  • Self Published Books (9 times out of 10 I find those books to not be anywhere near what I read)

If you contact me about a book to review, please make sure to add everything I need to know about the book. The list below is an example of what should be in the email when asking me to review a book:

  • Your name
  • Your book's name
  • A picture of the cover, either embedded in the email or attached
  • What genre and age group it's aimed for
  • A summary/synopsis of your book
  • What type of review copy you're willing to provide (ebook, or physical copy)

I do not accept self publishing books from authors who are not represented by a publishing company of some kind. I'm 100% highly skeptical of anything and I'm one of those people that always reads the fine print before signing anything. So it must be a legitimate piece of literary work.

No toleration for harassment, bribery, solicitation, or anything that breaks the law in regards from authors, publishers, etc... I record everything, take screen snap shot on my computer, and always save everything. So do not attempt anything of that kind of angles I have listed.

Lastly, if I do not reply back in an email, please know that it wasn't you or the marketing, it was the book that didn't interest me or was a book I do not accept for reading/reviewing.
