Hello and welcome! I'm 24 year olds and attending college, striving for a Nursing Degree (I've had my C.N.A. back from '06-'08).
I've been blogging since 2005 (my blogs spread out over the years! Xanga, LiveJournal, Myspace, etc...), but this is my first blog based solely to books, most of the time.
Anyway, my first adventures with books began before I was old enough to be in kindergarden. I have a fascination for YA books and can't get enough of them! I simple also love very well written fiction novels. I was introduced to the Berenstain Bears collection and still till this day have about 40 books in paperback. Over the years I've gone onto read Edgar Allan Poe, Shel Silverstein (The Giving Tree, Where the Side Walk Ends & A Light in the Attic), R.L. Stein (Goosebumps), Francine Pascal (Sweet Valley Jr. High), and J.K. Rowling (The Harry Potter Series). The Goblet of Fire was one of my favorites, even to the point of hiding out in my bunk's bathroom at camp reading it, trying to avoid daily chores lol.
After that came twilight in January 2007. I was browsing my local Borders (R.I.P!) and saw the paperback sitting out in one of the front display tables. I've never heard of it till that day. I had some borders bucks and was able to get it for free! It took me about 4 weeks to finish because of obligations, but also because i couldn't put it down! I've read the next two and had a hard time sleeping when I got to Eclipse because I was addicted the story! That was by far my favorite of the series. I have yet to finish "Breaking Dawn", but that is only because I didn't enjoy how she developed Jacob for that novel. I've attempted for book reports and for pleasure some Stephen King novels and short stories. I do have to say that "Dream Catcher", is nothing like the movie by the middle of the book. Hollywood took that idea and it out to left field.
But the only books I don't read are spiritual based, religious, and harlequin romance books (those books are too mushy for me and always feel very unrealistic about love, but to each their own! lol)
